Kentucky Lottery to celebrate record-breaking Mega Millions jackpot with ticket giveaway

With a world record Mega Millions jackpot being drawn on Tuesday night, the Kentucky Lottery is celebrating by offering coupons for free tickets.

A total of 250 coupons for free plays will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis Tuesday morning, according to the Kentucky Lottery. The drive-through giveaway is scheduled to start at 9:30 a.m. in the parking lot of Red Mile at 1200 Red Mile Road.

Other items, including T-shirts, will also be given away.

The record-breaking jackpot expected for the next Mega Millions drawing was at $1.6 billion by Monday afternoon. The next drawing will be held Tuesday night at 11 p.m., according to the Mega Millions website.
