“We had sex”; Lexington man arrested for alleged rape of child under 12
Lexington police arrested a 36-year-old Lexington man on rape charges Saturday in connection with alleged sexual contact with a child under the age of 12.
Justin Elam was charged with first-degree rape just before 2 a.m. Saturday. According to the arrest citation, the victim told police: “We had sex and indicated (Elam) touches her in private areas.”
Elam is being held in the Fayette County Detention Center.
