Justin Bieber bringing his 2020 tour to Rupp Arena
World-renowned pop superstar Justin Bieber will bring his upcoming tour to Rupp Arena next year for his first ever concert in Lexington.
Bieber will perform at Rupp Arena on Aug. 18. He announced dates for his 2020 tour on Tuesday along with news of his next single, titled “Yummy.” The single will be released Jan. 3 and will be followed by his fifth studio album.
It’s not clear when tickets will go on sale. Bieber will also perform in Louisville on Aug. 12. The 45-city tour begins May 14 in Seattle.
Bieber has won 15 American Music Association Awards, 19 Billboard Music Awards and one Grammy Award in his illustrious career that kick-started with the release of his 2010 album, “My World 2.0.”
Since then, Bieber has released “Under the Mistletoe” in 2011, “Believe” in 2012 and “Purpose” in 2015.
He has collaborated with Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee for 2017’s hit song “Despacito” and has worked with Ed Sheeran and Billie Eilish more recently ahead of his much-anticipated 2020 album.
Bieber’s 2020 concert add to an already stacked lineup at Rupp Arena. The Holiday Jam Featuring Xscape will be at Rupp on Jan. 19; KISS brings its “The End of the Road” tour on Feb. 13; Luke Combs stops by on Valentine’s Day; Sturgill Simpson and Tyler Childers on Feb. 28; Zac Brown Band is set for a March 6 show; Winter Jam 2020 on March 7; JoJo Siwa performs April 26; Lauren Daigle on April 30; and Elton John will bring his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour to Rupp on June 5.
