Lexington pharmacy delivers inspirational medicine with wall of artwork

A Lexington pharmacy is lifting people’s moods during the coronavirus outbreak, one poster board at a time.

Wheeler Pharmacy in the Chevy Chase neighborhood is handing out free, blank poster board, asking people to decorate it with a positive or uplifting message. When it is brought back, the store will display it on the outside wall for all to see as they drive past on Romany Road.

“We wanted to do something for the neighborhood, just to liven things up,” said Pharmacy Manager Claire Lewis of Wheeler Pharmacy, which is open, doing curbside pickup. “It’s just something to uplift everybody’s spirits and keep everybody a little bit happier during this uncertain time.”
