Six-car collision temporarily shuts down portion of Nicholasville Road in Lexington
Six cars were involved in a crash Wednesday afternoon in a busy intersection near the Fayette Mall in Lexington.
The injury crash happened about 3:40 p.m. at the intersection of Nicholasville Road and Wilson Downing Road, according to the Lexington Traffic Management Center. Outbound Nicholasville Road was temporarily shut down and traffic was diverted through the mall parking lot.
As of about 4:45 p.m., traffic was being allowed through the intersection through a turn lane, according to traffic management.
