Lexington ambulance involved in accident while on the way to a call
A Lexington Fire Department ambulance was involved in a collision Thursday morning, Battalion Chief Jordan Saas confirmed.
The ambulance was on its way to an emergency call when it got into an accident with a car at Third Street and North Broadway, Saas said. There were no injuries, but there was a “moderate” amount of damage to both the emergency vehicle and the car, he said. The accident was reported about 11:30 a.m.
Police were also dispatched to the scene. Saas said determining the cause of the accident would be part of an investigation.
