New sign brings entertainment center near Rupp Arena closer to completion

A large entertainment complex being built in downtown Lexington across from Rupp Arena got a step closer to being complete Sunday as a local company installed the sign for the new theater that will be housed there.

Ruggles Sign, out of Versailles, installed the new sign for the Krikorian Premiere Theatre Sunday morning.

The new entertainment complex, LexLive, is set to have a movie theater, a sports bar and a bowling alley.

The project was first announced in 2014 and hit a number of delays, but the space at the corner of South Broadway and High streets was cleared for construction in 2018. An opening date has not been released.
