Leestown Road back open after early morning shutdowns

Leestown Road is now back open after an overnight storm that continued through Monday morning caused parts of the busy roadway to close due to flooding, according to the Lexington Traffic Management Center.

The outbound lanes of Leestown at Forbes Road were closed due to high water at Lisle Industrial Avenue. That roadway opened back up at roughly 8:30 a.m.

Further west, Leestown Road was shut down between Nolan Lane and Browns Mill Road due to flooding at the railroad overpass. That barricade opened up at approximately 9:30 a.m.
