Video: Watch the snow pile up over 2 hours. And see its effect on Lexington drivers.

It started just before 10 a.m.

In Lexington, the snowfall began Thursday morning and went well into the late afternoon. When it’s all done, up to 4 to 6 inches of snow was expected to blanket much of Central Kentucky by evening time.

In the late morning hours, Lexington drivers seemed fine with the light accumulation on the roads. But by early afternoon, the pace of the January snow picked up dramatically, forcing drivers to be more cautious while causing traffic backups, spin-outs and wrecks.

The video above shows the difference in just two hours between the morning dusting and the afternoon snow as the snowstorm picked up intensity and its effect on road conditions.
