A man was injured in a house fire that caused traffic to be shut down on Leestown Road Saturday afternoon.

Lexington Fire Department Battalion Chief Jason Walton said firefighters were called to the 4300 block of Leestown at about 4:30 p.m. after a passerby reported the fire.

A man inside the home at the time of the fire was taken to a hospital with burns that were not life-threatening, he said.

Walton said the cause of the fire is under investigation. The home sustained heavy damage.

Walton said Leestown Road was shut down at Yarnallton Pike while firefighters battled the blaze.
