How much will it cost to fill up? See gas prices in Fayette, neighboring counties

The average price for regular grade gasoline is trending downward after reaching a peak in April at around $4 per gallon for Fayette and several neighboring counties.

That’s one takeaway from data provided by AAA, which tracks the average price of gas, and on Friday reported it was down slightly to $3.93 per gallon of regular fuel in the Lexington metro area. That’s down from $3.96 per gallon one week ago.

How much can I expect to pay for gas in Kentucky?

Fayette County as a whole still pays more for gas on average than much of the state. The average price for gas for all of Fayette County on Friday was $3.95 per gallon of regular, compared to state average of $3.88.
