Five vehicles ran off the road near mile-marker 99, according to Lt. Donnell Gordon with the Lexington Police Department. One person was hurt but no one needed to be taken to the hospital, Gordon said.

Several police and fire units were on scene to investigate and clear the wreckage. The road was shut down around 2:30 p.m. and reopened around 4:15 p.m., Gordon said.
