Lexington family displaced after small fire breaks out at apartment complex
A small fire at an apartment complex in Lexington early Monday morning left one family displaced, according to the Lexington Fire Department.
The fire was in the 3600 block of Appian Way and was reported to firefighters at approximately 2:24 a.m., according to Maj. Jessica Bowman with the fire department. When firefighters arrived, smoke and flames were visible from the second story of an apartment complex.
Firefighters were able to contain to contain the fire to the area of origin, according to Bowman. No injuries were reported but one family was displaced due to the damage.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, Bowman said.
