Lexington man, 80, pronounced dead after collision in rural Fayette County Friday
An 80-year-old Lexington man died after an accident in northern Fayette County Friday afternoon.
The Fayette County Coroner’s office said Robert Walker was involved in a single-vehicle collision on Greenwich Pike at about 5 p.m.
Walker was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:15 p.m., according to the coroner’s office.
Lexington police Lt. Paul Boyles said the crash happened near Harp Innis Road, and Walker was the only occupant of the vehicle. The police department’s Collision Reconstruction Unit responded to investigate.
