Richmond Road partially blocked off after early morning moped accident in Lexington
A section of Richmond Road in Lexington will experience some traffic delays after an early morning accident involving a moped, according to the Lexington Traffic Management Center.
The accident happened at the intersection of Richmond Road and Old Todds Road. The right turn lane of Richmond Road was blocked off while police cleared the scene, according to the traffic management center.
Initially all inbound lanes of Richmond Road and the left lane of outbound Richmond Road were shut down. The accident was reported at 7 a.m. but the road reopened approximately 15 minutes later.
The traffic management center said the incident was an injury collision, but it wasn’t immediately clear how severe any injuries were.
