Updated: Nicholasville woman dies in fatal crash on Winchester Road, officials say
A Nicholasville woman has died following a fatal crash which occurred Saturday night at Winchester Road and Elam Village Drive.
Thirty-four-year-old Emily Elizabeth Blair, of Nicholasville, died on the scene of a two-vehicle crash from blunt trauma injuries, according to the Fayette County Coroner.
Winchester Road was shut down outside Man o’ War Boulevard Saturday night after the crash that killed Blair and injured another.
Lexington police Lt. Paul Boyles said police were called about a two-vehicle collision at Winchester and Elam Village Drive just after 7 p.m.
Boyles said the driver of the other vehicle involved was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not thought to be life-threatening.
He did not have an estimated time for when Winchester Road might reopen.
