Lexington Fire Department extinguishes fire at Hamburg restaurant

Lexington firefighters have extinguished a fire at restaurants in Hamburg which left damage to the outside area of a building Sunday afternoon.

Maj. Derek Roberts with the Lexington Fire Department said crews were dispatched around 4 p.m. for a structure fire at Joella’s Hot Chicken on Sir Barton Way.

Roberts reported the fire was extinguished by emergency crews and contained to the rear outside walkout cooler at one of the restaurants. There were no injuries, Roberts said.

Fire investigators were at the scene to investigate what caused the fire, Roberts said.
