A shooting in Lexington left one man dead Wednesday evening, according to Lexington police.

The shooting happened in the 400 block of Elm Street shortly before 6:30 p.m., police said. The man was rushed to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

“The Lexington Police Department is still investigating to determine if a criminal act occurred,” Hannah Sloan, a spokesperson for LPD, said in a news release Friday. “At this time, no one is in custody.”
