A popular route into downtown Lexington will move to one lane Wednesday as crews work on a sewer line in the area, city officials said Tuesday.

Work connected to upgrading a sewer line will mean Woodland Avenue between Central Avenue and East High Street will move to one lane.

The move to one lane will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The work is expected to last until July 14.

Flaggers will be in the area to help motorists navigate the lane closures.
