Section of New Circle Road expected to be shut down most of the afternoon Wednesday
A section of New Circle Road was expected to be shut down for most of the afternoon Wednesday, according to Lexington police.
The inner loop of West New Circle Road at North Broadway was blocked off due to a wreck. The closure was expected to last for three hours, police said at approximately 2:30 p.m.
“Crews are working to reopen the roadway, and officers are in the area assisting with traffic,” police said in a Facebook post.
Motorists were encouraged to seek alternate routes and expect delays in the area.
“Please use extreme caution while driving and follow all directions given by officers,” police said.
