A Lexington motorcyclist suffered serious injures in a crash Sunday night, police say.

The incident happened at the intersection of Man O’ War Boulevard and Easthills Drive, according to Lexington police Lt. Joe Anderson. Police responded to the scene and found that a motorcycle and SUV had been involved in the crash. The motorcycle driver was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, Anderson said.

Anderson said the cause of the crash was still under investigation.

The SUV driver wasn’t injured, according to WKYT, the Herald-Leader’s reporting partner.

The Lexington Police Department’s collision reconstruction unit responded to the scene to gather more information and had Man O’ War Boulevard shut down. It has since reopened.

This is a developing story and may be updated.
