Traffic: Busy Lexington road reopened after a collision involving a box truck

A wreck involving a box truck left part of a busy Lexington road closed for hours Tuesday morning.

All lanes of Man O’ War Boulevard reopened late Tuesday morning after crews cleaned up a fluid spill from the wreck, according to the Lexington Traffic Management Center.

The crash happened in the outer loop of Man O’ War Boulevard near Alumni Drive, the traffic management center reported. Lt. Joe Anderson with the Lexington Traffic Management Center said a 26-foot box truck collided with another vehicle.

Both drivers had non-life-threatening injuries. Neither were transported to a hospital, Anderson said.

Officials had the road shut down but the left lane reopened around 7:30 a.m. while officials cleaned up the spill, the traffic management center said early Tuesday morning. The road fully reopened around 11 a.m.
