Heading to Central Bank Center in November? Key intersection will be closed.

A section of Manchester Street directly behind the Central Bank Center on High Street will be closed starting Monday, city officials said.

The Manchester Street section will be closed for a month for the construction of the entrance of Town Branch Park, a proposed 10-acre park currently under construction between Main, High and Manchester streets, and Oliver Lewis Way.

The closure is expected to last until the end of November, city officials said.

There will be no right turn from High Street to Manchester Street. Oliver Lewis Way may be used to access the Central Bank Center Level 1 parking garage, the Level 3 loading dock and Ty Court.

The construction will improve pedestrian access into the proposed park, which will include a children’s play area, dog park, walking trails and an amphitheater. Construction started on the long-awaited park in August.
