Multi-car crash shuts down I-75, sends multiple people to hospital, Lexington police say

Multiple people were taken to the hospital after a crash involving four vehicles left Interstate 75 near Clays Ferry shut down Friday night.

The collision was reported on southbound I-75 near mile marker 99 at 6:43 p.m., said Lt. Dillan Taylor of the Lexington Police Department. One of the vehicles involved fled the scene and had not been located, he said.

Taylor said none of the injuries were thought to be life-threatening.

The road had reopened by 8 p.m.
