Heads up: Lane closure on busy section of New Circle Road starts Monday

One lane of a busy section of New Circle Road will be closed starting Monday, Kentucky Transportation Cabinet officials said.

The closure of the left-hand lane on the inner loop of New Circle Road at mile marker 17.6, the Tates Creek Road overpass bridge. will begin at 9 a.m. and will last until 3 p.m.

Motorists will still be able to use the area but there may be traffic backups, transportation officials cautioned.

New Circle Road is a state road.

The closure is necessary for a bridge deck repair on the overpass bridge.
