A section of a Lexington road near the interstate was briefly flooded Tuesday morning, according to the Lexington Traffic Management Center.

The flooding happened on North Broadway at Judy Lane, near Interstate 64/I-75. The traffic management center said the flooding is from a possible water main break.

Lexington police Lt. Dillan Taylor said there is no traffic impact and the water is already dissipating. Susan Lancho, spokesperson for Kentucky American Water, said crews are repairing the leak on an 8-inch-diameter water main, and about 38 customers are without water service as the repairs are ongoing.

The repairs are expected to last a few hours, according to Lancho.

Drivers are encouraged to use added caution.
