Coroner identifies 2 pedestrians who died after being hit at Man o’ War and Tates Creek

The names of two pedestrians who died after being hit by a vehicle in Lexington on Saturday morning have been released.

The Fayette County Coroner’s Office said Eyad Albaree, 61, and Matthew Hudson, 55, were involved in a collision at Man o’ War Boulevard and Tates Creek Road.

Both were taken to the University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, where they were pronounced dead in the emergency department as a result of multiple blunt force trauma, the coroner said in a news release.

Albaree was pronounced dead at 8:19 a.m. Saturday, and Hudson was pronounced dead at 7:37 a.m.
