The occupants of eight units were displaced after a two-alarm fire Tuesday night at an apartment building on Lansill Road in Lexington.

The Lexington Fire Department was dispatched to the fire at 2111 Lansill Road at 8:56 p.m., and when they arrived, crews found flames shooting through the roof of the two-story building, said Battalion Chief Derek Roberts.

“A second alarm was called for additional manpower,” he said in a text message.

No injuries were reported, Roberts said.

He said the apartment’s management was working with the fire department to help residents affected by the fire.

Investigators were at the scene to determine the fire’s cause and origin, Roberts said.
