Pothole repairs on Interstate 64 could cause traffic delays of 15 to 20 minutes for motorists in Fayette, Scott and Woodford counties next week.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said drivers should expect rolling roadblocks between 6 p.m. and midnight Wednesday and Thursday as potholes are filled in both the eastbound and westbound lanes along I-64.

The work will begin Aug. 6 in the eastbound lanes at mile point 59.4, which is the Franklin/Woodford county line, and proceed to the I-75/I-64 northern split at mile point 74.29. After work has been completed on the eastbound side, Transportation Cabinet workers will fill potholes in the westbound lanes along the same stretch of the interstate.

Kentucky State Police will help with traffic control during the roadwork.

People can report potholes and other hazards on Kentucky state routes by calling 877-367-5982 or filling out a form on the Transportation Cabinet website.
