Lexington TV broadcaster crowned the ultimate ‘Disney Adult’ by John Oliver

A Lexington TV personality made national noise for his love of all things Mickey and Magic Kingdom.

Tyler Melito, a broadcast reporter for FOX 56, was featured on the “ And Now This” segment of “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver” Sunday for being a “Disney Adult.” The segment shows clips of Melito on-air, his fellow FOX 56 reporters calling him a “Disney adult,” discussing his love of Disney movies, theme parks and even trying out his impression of robot character WALL-E.

“Hi I’m Tyler Melito and I’m a (proud) Disney Adult,” Melito said in a X post. “Thank you @iamjohnoliver and @lastweektonight for giving me something that I’ll be able to laugh at for a long time.”

“Turns out if you talk about something enough at work you can end up the subject of a bit on National TV,” Melito said on an Instagram post.

Melito, a Syracuse graduate with a degree in broadcast and digital journalism, has been with FOX 56 since 2022.

Last Week Tonight has been on air since 2014 and is on HBO and HBO Max.
