Part of Winchester Road in Lex. to be closed for several hours Monday afternoon

A section of Winchester Road in Lexington will be shut down for several hours Monday afternoon while officials unload a broken-down tractor-trailer, according to the Lexington Traffic Management Center.

The tractor-trailer broke down on Winchester Road near Patchen Wilkes Drive. The traffic management center said inbound traffic is blocked off at Sir Barton Way, and motorists are being diverted onto Sir Barton Way or Executive Drive.

The inbound lanes aren’t expected to reopen until about 5 p.m., the traffic management center said. The outbound lanes remain open.
