A private, Islamic school in Lexington was evacuated, and part of busy, nearby road was briefly closed on Friday after a reported bomb threat.

Police were dispatched around 9:45 a.m. Friday to Lexington Universal Academy, in the 4500 block of Nicholasville Road.

Police did not find any evidence of a bomb, and the closed lane of Nicholasville Road reopened later Friday.

Lexington Universal Academy’s website says it provides an Islamic environment that caters to the betterment of “self, family, community and humanity.”
