A new traffic light will go live Monday at the corner of Brannon and Tates Creek roads.

Kentucky Transportation Cabinet officials said the new light will be in flash mode starting Monday, Feb. 23 until 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 26.

It will be fully operational at 10 a.m. on Thursday.

During flash mode, drivers on Tates Creek will see a blinking yellow light. Drivers on Brannon Road will have a blinking red light.

Message boards will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming changes, transportation officials said Friday.

The area has seen an increase in traffic in recent years as many motorists use Brannon Road to get to Brannon Crossing in Jessamine County.
