An Eastern Kentucky high school and two from Lexington comprised the top three Saturday at the Kentucky Theatre Association’s High School Theatre Festival at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green.
Corbin High School took the top prize with its production of The Elephant Man by Bernard Pomerance.
Paul Laurence Dunbar High School won second place for its production of Radium Girls by D.W. Gregory, directed by Alicia Henning. Bryan Station High School finished for its production of Jungalbook by Edward Mast, directed by Amie Dunn Kisling.
At the annual fall festival, 16 high schools presented one-act plays. The top two shows advance to regional competition at the Southeastern Theatre Conference High School Theatre Festival in Greensboro, N.C., in March.
