A 58-year-old man died after a single-vehicle crash on Nicholasville Road at Burke Road on Saturday morning.
The man was the only occupant of a vehicle that crashed at about 7 a.m., according to a news release from the Fayette County coroner’s office. He was not wearing a seat belt.
The man was pronounced dead of blunt force injuries at University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital at 7:21 a.m., according to the release.
The coroner’s office said it was not immediately releasing the identity of the man because officials had not been able to reach his next of kin.

Lexington police Lt. Andrew Daugherty said police do not yet know what caused the crash. A medical emergency is one possibility, he said.
