Michigan man dies in Scott County traffic accident

The Scott County Coroner has identified the man who died Friday when a car crashed into the rear of a parked tractor-trailer at an Interstate 75 rest area.

Coroner John Goble on Saturday said the man, a passenger in the car, was Dale Robert Constable, 53, of Flint, Michigan.

The driver and another passenger, were taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital where they were in stable condition Saturday, Goble said. Goble said that the three in the car from Michigan were relatives, but he did not know the names of the other two people in the car.

The truck driver, who was sleeping in the cab, was not injured, officials had said.

The crash was reported a little before 2 p.m. Friday at the southbound rest area in Scott County.
