Julie Tennent and Linda Pickerill will perform sacred and classic piano pieces written for two at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday at the Wilmore Senior Community Center, 1125 Lexington Road.
The special duet performance will be dedicated to the memory of Donald Demaray, an Asbury Theological Seminary professor and piano performance enthusiast. Tennent holds a graduate degree in organ and church music, and Pickerill is a professor of piano performance at Asbury University.
Tea and cookies will be served following the concert. For more details on activities at the Wilmore Senior Community Center, call Alan at 859-858-3865, Ext. 238, or visit Wvillage.org.

Be a holiday hero and donate blood from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Culver’s located at 961 North Main Street in Nicholasville. Donors receive a $10 gift card from the Central Kentucky Blood Center and a coupon for a free pint of custard.
The timing of this drive is vital because blood donations typically take a dip during the Christmas season, but the demand for blood never takes a holiday. Blood donors must be 17, weigh at least 110 pounds, be in general good health, show a photo I.D., and meet additional requirements. Sixteen-year-old donors must have a signed parental permission slip, which can be found at kybloodcenter.org.
