Holiday closings, waste collection
Offices of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. If you normally receive trash service on Thursday or Friday, your make-up day will be the Wednesday before the holiday.

Take a candlelight tour of the Ashland estate
Ashland, the Henry Clay Estate, 120 Sycamore Road, is decorated for the holidays and open for candlelight tours from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Admission — $15 adults, $7 students, free 5 and under — includes refreshments. (Henryclay.org)
