Surgery on Sunday and Aspire Fitness will host a 24-hour fitness event, Sweat4Surgeries, Jan. 29-30 to benefit Surgery on Sunday, a non-profit that provides free outpatient procedures for the uninsured and underinsured. The goal is to raise $20,000, which will provide for 66 surgeries.
Josh Bowen, a trainer and owner of Aspire Fitness, will lead circuit training non-stop for 24 hours at Aspire Fitness. Each hour of training is limited to 30 participants, which is open to all ages and is designed for every fitness level. Individuals can train for one or more hours, from midnight to 5 a.m. at a discounted rate, or all 24 hours.
Each participant will receive a copy of Bowen’s book, 12 Steps to Fitness Freedom, and 15 percent off at SALA Studio, an athletic leisure boutique opening in January. Kate Horning, lifestyle expert, health coach and chef will provide healthful food for the event as well as host a cooking demonstration, Simple Techniques for Great Tasting Greens, at noon Jan. 30. Door prizes will be available.
