Bladed bandit snatches cash from Lexington gas station
A man armed with a knife robbed a Lexington gas station early Tuesday.
Police said the robber entered the Speedway at 447 East New Circle Road about 3 a.m. He threatened a clerk with the blade and fled with cash.
Lexington Police Lt. Clay Combs said the robber is described as a 6-foot-tall, dark-complected black male with short hair. He was wearing a gray hoodie and blue jeans.
Combs said a K-9 unit couldn’t track the robber.
“We’re still looking at potentially pulling video,” Combs said.
