One person was killed early Monday in a one-vehicle crash on Appian Way, Lexington police said.
Anthony Farley, 57, died about 3:30 a.m. of multiple blunt-force injuries after his pickup truck struck a tree, according to the Fayette County Coroner’s Office.
A passerby alerted police that a truck had crashed into a tree on the 3700 block of Appian Way just after 2:30 a.m., police Sgt. Ann Welch said.
Police said it appeared that the pickup had swerved off the right side of Appian Way and hit the tree near Trent Boulevard. The driver was the only occupant, Welch said.
Welch said collision reconstruction units and the Fayette County coroner were at the crash site.
The collision reconstruction unit was still investigating the cause of the crash as of Friday, Welch said.
