Public meeting to discuss designs for new playground at Jacobson Park set for Monday

A public meeting to discuss designs of new playground equipment at Jacobson Park playground will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the library of the Athens-Chilesburg Elementary School on Jouett Creek Drive.

Michelle Kosieniak, of Lexington’s Parks and Recreation Department, and Ramona Fry, of Element Design, will present possible drawings of the playground. Public input on the designs is encouraged. The new playground — designed by David Williams & Associates and Element Design — is scheduled to open this summer at the sprawling park off Richmond Road and Athens-Boonesboro Road in southeast Lexington.
