Shots fired outside Lexington strip club, apartment complex

Gunshots were reported in two places Monday morning, but Lexington police said they don’t have much information.

Shots were reported to police just before 2 a.m. outside the Camelot East strip club on Richmond Road, police Sgt. Ann Welch said. Shell casings were found in the parking lot.

A window at nearby Sheabel Veterinary Hospital was damaged, but Welch said there were no reported injuries.

Investigators planned to review surveillance video, Welch said.

Earlier, a gunshot was reported just after midnight at the Raintree Apartments complex on North Locust Hill Drive. Welch said officers found shell casings in the parking lot near building 2900. There was no reported damage or injuries.

Police are asking for witnesses to contact the police department or calling Bluegrass Crime Stoppers at 877-970-2020.
