Jessica Holly art exhibit on display through Feb. 29 at Polvino Art Center

The Creative Art League of Jessamine County is presenting a gallery exhibit by Berea artist Jessica Holly through Feb. 29 at the Polvino Family Art Center, 109 South Main Street, Nicholasville.

The mixed media exhibit features cityscapes wrapped in geometric riddles. Gallery hours are 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Sunday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Annual Chamber of Commerce Awards Dinner Jan. 28

The Jessamine County Chamber of Commerce annual Meeting and Awards Dinner was held Jan. 28 at the R.J. Corman Hanger.

The following awards were presented: Business of the Year, First Southern National Bank; Hall of Fame, Clay Corman; Business Person of the Year, Randall Chewning; President’s Award, April Colyer; R.J. Corman Community Service Award, Jessamine Beef Cattle Association; Civic Award, Doug Day; Industry Award, Car Town Kia USA; Small Business Award, Jazzercise of Nicholasville; New Business Award, Culver’s of Nicholasville; Ambassador of the Year, Doug Marshall. Ronda May was installed as the new president. May is director of development at All God’s Children.
