Cynthiana man accused of shaking, injuring infant
A Cynthiana man was jailed Thursday in Lexington after admitting to shaking an injured infant being treated at University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, police said.
Kentucky State Police were called when staff at the hospital said the 7-month-old boy had injuries inconsistent with statements from Brandon True, 33, according to court documents.
The baby was injured about 10 a.m. Wednesday in Harrison County, according to court records.
Police say True admitted to shaking the child for about five seconds, according to his arrest citation.
True is charged with one count of wanton endangerment and is scheduled to appear in court at 1 p.m. Thursday.
