One man, possibly armed, robbed a Lexington Chase bank just before noon Saturday, police said.

Only employees were in the bank at 1500 Leestown Road when a man came in announcing, “This is a robbery,” police Lt. Jonathan Bastian said.

The robber is described as a black man with a thin build, about 5 feet, 9 inches tall, Bastian said. The man was wearing dark clothing with a hood, a balaclava and gloves.

Bastian said police “don’t think he displayed a weapon, but we’re still investigating.”

The man took an undisclosed amount of cash and ran toward Lisle Industrial Avenue, police said. A police dog lost the trail a short distance from the bank. Investigators are pulling surveillance video from the bank.
