Health department accepting nominations for Public Health Heroes Award

The Lexington-Fayette County Health Department is accepting nominations for its Public Health Heroes Award for individuals who have demonstrated dedication to improving the health of Lexington residents.

Criteria for the award include leadership and diligence in promoting public health, contributions and support in fostering public health programs, and work or actions that have positively affected the community’s health.

Nominations should include name, professional title and organization, phone number and email address, and examples of why the person is worthy of the award. Descriptions should be no more than 200 words.

Submit nominations to Kevin Hall via email at KevinS.Hall@ky.gov or fax 859-288-2359. Deadline is 4 p.m. Feb. 24.
