Mulberry Drive house badly damaged in overnight fire

A Lexington house was severely damaged in a fire early Thursday morning, according to Battalion Chief Todd Samuelson.

The fire was on Mulberry Drive, outside New Circle Road and near Woodhill Circle Plaze. Itwas called in about 1:40 a.m. Thursday, Samuelson said. The fire was contained about 40 minutes later, at 2:20 a.m.

No injuries were reported, Samuelson said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
