Lex-Care: Senior citizen and army veteran needs $210 to pay gas bill after house fire
Jennifer Garland, a social worker with the Lexington Senior Center, is requesting $210 to help a client pay his gas bill. The client is a senior and an army veteran. His home burned in January and he had no insurance. He is now living in rent-subsidized housing but is struggling to pay his bills. Once he has paid the gas bill, he will be able to make ends meet on his Social Security income.
