Screaming Eagle Honor Flight to D.C. May 8 accepting veterans’ applications

The Screaming Eagle Honor Flight will conduct its first flight of 2016, Mission No. 5, on May 8 to Washington. Veteran’s applications are being accepted, with priority given to terminally ill veterans from any war or conflict, World War II veterans and Korean War veterans. Veterans from Central Kentucky and Central Tennessee may apply.

For an application, call 931-920-6364, email screamingeaglehf@charter.net, download a form at Screamingeaglehf.org, or pick up a form at the Montgomery County Veterans Service Office.

Applications are also being accepted for guardians (veterans’ escorts), which can be obtained by contacting the honor flight. The flights are free to veterans as a thank you for their service and sacrifice. To donate, volunteer or obtain more information, contact the honor flight. Donations are tax deductible. Another flight is being considered for September, and more flights may be scheduled if funding is available.
